What’s up everybody? Welcome back today is an exciting day. We got word yesterday that convert box 2.0 has been released. This is hands down the best opt in software on the planet. I have used pretty much every single piece of opt in software. I go back to convert box time and time again and now with version 2.0 it is even better than before. Two main reasons that it was always the best option for me and why I think it’s even better now. Number one is user experience. The just the simplicity that they’ve been able to put into this software. Anybody can use it. It’s not difficult. It also makes your workflow really fast. So it’s simple and it’s quick and you know as much as I do time is money. Convert box is going to get you in and out. It’s going to give you all the functionality you need. And number two. The segmentation aspect segmentation super important lead enrichment super important right. Understanding the people that are coming to your website not just ask asking them to opt in for things but actually knowing what they’re here for and what buckets what segments they fall into. Convert box gives you unprecedented functionality in that regard. Most other opt in software’s don’t even have that as an option. Some do a lot of them are catching up but convert box is leading the way so I’m going to take you under the hood. I’m going to show you convert box 2.0 but I’m not just going to show you features. I’m going to let you watch me build a full campaign in real time and this is not some basic little campaign. This is a pretty advanced way of doing segmentation with opt in on your website and you’re going to see exactly how easy this stuff is and exactly how quickly I put it all together. So let’s go ahead and jump into the computer. This is convert box 2.0. All right guys let’s take a look at convert box 2.0. What I’m going to actually do instead of just showing you random features. I want to actually build a convert box while you watch and you’re going to see a whole bunch of the new features as I do that because I have a real campaign that I need to build for my agency at digital gravy.co. So this is my agency site. I’m going to show you the plan of what I want to build. I’m going to show you how easy it is to build this inside a convert box. So this is the funnel that I would love to build. We have a new visitor coming to the website right now one of the segmentation options I’m going to check out is whether they have run Facebook ads for their business in the past. Yes or no. And again convert box one of the reasons I say this is the most powerful opt in software on the planet is because of how easy it is to do segmentation and it just got even easier with convert box 2.0.

So we’re going to ask them yes or no to Facebook ads if they say yes we’re going to ask them another question. Did they work for you because what we find is that the people have run ads. Most people say no we couldn’t get them to work right so we need to know that yes or no did they work because we’re going to offer them different things if they did work. But yet here they are on on a Facebook ads agency website or digital advertising agency website. Well maybe they want a new strategy. Maybe they want a new company to manage their ads. So we’re going to offer them that new free ad strategy that’s a free custom ad strategy to get them going in the right direction right. If they say no we’re going to give them a free ad review. Hey do you want us to come in take a look at your campaign tell you why it didn’t work or at least give you our thoughts on why it didn’t work and then we’ll go from there. So that’s going to be the offer to that group now if they come down to the no segment initially so no we’ve never run Facebook ads before. Great how about we do a free custom ad strategy for you that’s going to be the offer there. So this is what we need to build out inside of convert box. So let’s go ahead and take a look at convert box. And by the way I’m using type form for this custom digital advertising plan. And so what I would like to do and I’m not going to show you all the back end of this. I’m just going to make this super simple. I’ll do a video on how to make these advanced integration happen. But basically when they opt in through convert kid I’m capturing the lead there and then I’m going to send the lead into type form into this form right here where they can actually give me a bunch of information. And I’m actually in the end I’m going to be passing their first name their email their website the stuff they put into the convert box opt in. I’m going to pass that over to type form and then I’m going to tell type form hey if we have that data already don’t ask them those questions again just skip them ahead to the good stuff. All right again that’s advanced but convert box does give you with hidden fields custom fields all that the capability to do this. I’ll show you that in a different video but again convert box is powerful. All right. So let’s head over to convert box. I got a fresh clean and so we have not used convert box on digital gravy. We are using it extensively it is our only opt in software at digital ambition.co so if you go to digital ambition.co everything that you see in terms of opt in is going to be run through convert box. All right. So digital gravy.co what we’re going to do first and by the way I’ve already done kind of the setup in the back end but I’ll show you that stuff.

So if you have WordPress you literally just install their plugin that’s it if you don’t have WordPress then you basically just copy this code right here drop it on your website and you’re good to go there that is the only like piece of code you will ever touch when you are using convert box. We also have all of the integrations so you can see all of the things that it integrates with what I also like about this is you can integrate with the same system with more than one account. So for example I have a digital ambition account for drip and I have a digital gravy account with drip well with some opt in platforms you can only integrate drip once and so if you have two brands well you’re so well. And you can also see that I’m able to manage multiple brands through convert box very easily with a simple drop down I can I can switch from one site to the next so in terms of managing multiple sites for those of you running agencies or if you just have more than one website. Convert box again is the way to go but all these integrations are set up it’s super easy I’m going to go back to the dashboard and what we’re going to do is we’re going to start with this little welcome group that I’ve created okay I’m going to click new convert box and it’s going to say give this convert box a name all right cool. I’m going to go welcome and we’re going to call this ads yes or no segmentation okay and then I’m going to put this in the welcome group and then it’s going to ask me to select the type of convert box that I want I can do a sticky bar at the top I can do a call out Modal which is basically like a slide in or a pop in at the corner of the website. A center Modal which everybody hates but it is an option this is the only time I use center Modal is when I use a button click to trigger alright so if I am saying hey click here to opt in and they click then I’ll use the center Modal and it’ll pop up at that point you can also do a full page Modal alright for this I’m going to do the call out Modal because I’m going to show you one of the new cool things about convert box 2.0 in how they make it look very personalized like a personalized message popping up. So I’m going to select that and then they give you a bunch of templates that you can use here and start with all of these are 100% customizable okay I’m going to do this segmentation one because you know that’s what we’re doing here we’re doing segmentation so I’m going to hit select and there it is and you see this personal style right like it has my image and I’ve used that image before and it knows that so it popped it in automatically very cool. Alright so we have our basic Modal here what I want to do first I want to position this actually I want to leave it on the left I was going to put it on the right but I think if you look at this we have our little help scout beacon over here and I don’t want to cover that up so we’re going to keep it on the left that’s all good alright and we’re going to just start editing now with convert box basically you click in here you could also drag right so if I grab this little orange thing I can move this anywhere I wanted to be. Very easy alright I definitely don’t want it to be above the headline so we’re going to put it right there. Cool now I don’t have all these options right if we look at the funnel it’s it’s yes or no right so I only need two of these buttons so first thing I’m going to do is delete and delete so now we have our two options here so I’m going to edit this and we’re going to say welcome quick. Question dot dot dot okay so now I’m going to highlight this I’m going to go over here and Montserrat is the I think that’s how you pronounce it that’s the font we use on on digital gravy and so it’s great that I can match that inside of convert box very easily. And then I’m going to ask the actual question have you ever run Facebook ads before curious to know your experience dot dot dot so there we have it welcome quick question have you ever run Facebook ads before curious to know your experience they see this popping up basically is like maybe like this you know the founder here sent me a personal message or something through the website. Then we have option one and option to so I’m going to go ahead and edit these and I’m going to say yes I have no we haven’t and I might actually change this language to has your business ever run Facebook ads before curious to know your experience. Okay so yes I have no we haven’t now I want to grab my brand color here for opt-ins and I’m going to grab this click this little button here and now we have the correct color button.

Okay so you can also turn off that profile if you don’t like the profile photo thing look I mean convert box makes this stuff very very easy. All right so back to the button I definitely want to change the font on here so I use quick sand as my body font. And so I’m going to choose quick sand on both of those so now this this completely matches my brand look and feel let me show that profile back on. So I have my correct body font my correct headline font oh I need to change the font here to quicksand perfect and I’m actually going to make that bold. All right great so now we have the opening section of our opt-in but remember we need all these all this stuff to happen right so how does this all work. All right so we’re going to go to this tab called steps. So in tab in the tab called steps you can create basically an unlimited amount of steps and then we just link from step to step the buttons. All right and then we will eventually make our way to an opt-in form right so this is first step right and so we’re going to start with the yes I have segment. All right so if we look at this funnel right here yes or no so yes needs to ask did they work okay so in order to make this easy on myself I’m actually going to duplicate this first step so that all of this work that I’ve done with like the button colors the fonts. It all carries over and I don’t have to do that work again so I’m going to go ahead and I’m going to click this button right here which says clone. And that is going to give me a copy of that first step and I’m going to say we need to name this keep it organized so this is going to be the yes. Adds yes done okay and then I’m going to customize this by saying what’s our next question that we’re going to ask did they work all right so we’re going to go back here and we’re going to say awesome that begs the question. Did they work for you was your campaign profitable and then I’m going to highlight that I’m going to click this little button right here we’re just going to left align this. So awesome that begs the question did they work for you was your campaign profitable then we just change the button text here remember we’re working on a different step than we were working on before. So yes they were profitable no they didn’t work okay great so now what we need to do is link step one to step two watch how easy this is I click and button action right here it says open another step you can also by the way link to a web page when they click on that button or you can close the convert box I’m obviously going to choose another step and then I’m going to say ads yes and then once I do that you can actually this button right down here will appear next step and you can click it and it’ll actually in real time show you what happens next and it also highlights here the step that you are on.

So we have awesome that begs look and by the way this copy is it’s going to have to be rewritten I’m just trying to fly through this so you get a basic idea of how easy this is and the functionality all right. So now we’re asking them did they work yes they were profitable no they didn’t work all right so we’re going to need a new step aren’t we I’m going to go ahead and clone that. And the next thing that we need is free strategy or ad review so I’m actually going to clone that twice but we’re going to start with this one freebie add strategy done all right. So they have said yes they’ve said yes they worked so we’re going to go to a new free strategy so I’m going to say. That’s great to hear what’s next would you like us to let’s see i’m not going to ask another question I’m going to say what’s next. Getting this done and showing you we’re going to keep it very simple this is actually the best call to actions I actually don’t know what they want and what they’re here for we would need to find that out. But for the purposes of demonstrating convert box 2.0 where we’re good to go so now I’m going to go ahead and delete the buttons we don’t need buttons anymore we’re just going to go straight to an opt in at this point so I’m going to go back to the elements tab and I’m going to grab the form element and I’m just going to drop it in see how easy that is let me grab my color again. And I’m going to click and I’m going to just change that button color real quick so that’s good awesome all right so we have our opt in name email and then a button and then I’m going to change the text on this button that’s going to say. Send yes I want an ad strategy boom okay let’s make that month or sorry quick stands all right cool so yes I want an ad strategy and then here’s what we need to do I yes I want their name I want their email I also want their website address okay so I’m going to go to edit form fields. I’m going to click add new field and I’m going to ask for their website and I’m going to make it a required field and I’m going to hit done and you see it adds it right there so now I’m asking for their name their email and their website you are. All right so what needs to happen when they click on this couple things need to happen number one I need to take them to this ad strategy form right here so I’m going to go ahead and grab the URL of this I’m going to go back over I’m going to click on the form and then when it says after the visitor submits this form I’m going to say redirect to URL and then I’m going to paste that URL in now you’re going to see there’s some hidden fields in this URL we’re going to deal with all that kind of. That’s for all the advanced stuff that I plan on doing okay and I’m going to click pass form values in URL parameters all right so and then what I’m going to do is I’m going to delete out all that stuff just to keep it clean so nice clean URL and tell convert box pass the form values in the URL parameters okay so now when some of this form it’s going to take them to the type form however I want to capture this lead in drip right now because what if they click and they don’t actually finish the form I still want to be able to know that and reach out to them and say hey you still want your custom ad strategy all right so we need to go to set form actions and we need to hit add new form action use use integration drip you can see I got a few in here right so drip digital gravy.co and then I’m going to say add to existing tag now look at all the options you have available to you you can add them directly into an email campaign which in drip is like a sequence of emails right you can remove them from a campaign when they submit this form you can add them to a work flow you can add an existing tag you can remove an existing tag and then even if you don’t have a tag in drip you can just create one right here and so it’ll create that new tag and it’ll use that new tag for everybody going forward pretty pretty cool all right I have an existing tag there and this is going to be the free free be custom add strategy I’m going to hit add form action and I’m going to hit done so it is integrating with drip now when they fill out that form it’s going to put their name their email their website URL into drip and it’s going to give that tag and then it’s going to send this person over to type form really really and you saw how easy that was really really powerful right so what we need to do now is we need to go back to steps and so when they hit yes right we’re going to click here and we’re going to make sure they go to free be add strategy and so if I go all the way back to the beginning now let’s go to the first step I can actually walk through this in real time so I click here we’re going to see yes I have awesome that begs the question did they work for you yes they did boom that’s great to hear here here’s the form all right so we have this entire top part of that funnel built and done all right so now what we need to do is the did they work no free add review all right so let’s go back to convert box free be add strategy clone this and we’re going to say free be add review done okay all right so no they didn’t work uh oh okay no problem again all this copy like literally after sit here and and make real copy I’m just trying to do this in real okay um we hear this a lot actually if you’d like us to take a look at your campaign and show you why to say thank you create step okay and this is a blank step all right so we’re going to deal with that in just a second but I’m going to because I don’t want to send them to a I don’t want to build a new page on my website just to say thank you okay I’m just going to build a another convert box step that says thank you so we’re going to say open another step thank you boom just like that all right and then I’m going to we can yeah actually test that cool let’s just build it so I don’t forget about it real quick let me go back to elements we’re going to drag in a text and then we’re going to drag in another text and we might even drag in a button call to action because we can use this opportunity to have them do something else and I think that’s all I think that’s all we’re going to add okay so we’re going to say thanks and then this is going to be Montserrat and then we’re going to come down here and we’re going to say you’re all set you’ll hear from us within 24 hours in the meantime connect with us on Facebook okay and again we got to think about what we actually want to do here but you can see this is another option for sorry we’ve got kids crying in the background you can see that this is another option for how to continue to use convert box to continue creating calls to action all the way through the end of the funnel I’m actually going to change the font size here and you see how easy this is let’s go at 20 and I’m going to bold it okay thanks you’re all set you’ll hear from us in the 24 hours okay and then I’m going to change this to quicksand and we’re going to say like us on Facebook boom and I’m actually going to leave this button blue because that’s the Facebook color and that kind of makes you know sense in that regard all right but there’s my thank you paid so if we go back to steps and they’re on this ad review and they fill out the form that’s what happens next all right and then with this button I would just link this button to obviously to our Facebook page right and so the way that we do that there is we say link to web page drop it in right there you can even open this link in a new tab I’m just going to put a pound sign for right now I also want to show you real quick while we’re here the ability to do side by side buttons okay and so let’s pretend for a second that this was a yes or no case you can put those buttons side by side right now I don’t you know necessarily want to do that with a little form like this this would work really great on a modale like a centered modale or a full page modale very cool you can also do columns with those modals and such a lot of new functionality also look at this I just change that decide I don’t like it come up here we can undo we can get right back to where we were with the undo button you can also customize how all of this looks on mobile now this won’t have any problem on mobile because it’s little but if you’re doing a big kind of opt in you can mobile optimize that very easily all right so we’ve got our add review here that all works that takes them to a thank you step so now look at what’s done this entire top chain is done all right except for the fact that just remembered one thing we go back to this form set form actions they’re not getting a custom ad strategy on this step they are getting an ad audit on this step so I’m going to hit save there and done good so this is done top chain is done what we need to do now is the bottom no and new free strategy all right now we guess what guys we’ve already created the freebie add strategy step right so what we’re going to do is we’re going to go back to the first step know we haven’t and sorry hit the wrong button we’re going to say open another step freebie add strategy okay the works already done next step boom all right so the only thing I’m noticing here now is the headline doesn’t match right so what does that mean it means we can’t use that step exactly so I’m just going to clone this real quick and then I’m going to call it freebie add strategy never that’s for the people who have never run ads and then we just change the copy on this okay can’t type today all right you’re missing this convert box okay so I’m going to say first of all I’m going to say activate later we’re not going to activate this yet okay all right we’re going to hit edit and display so here’s our triggers we have our duration like number of views that we want to show this we’ll just go down the line when do we want this thing to show up all right so I’m going to say after a specific time and I’m going to say five seconds so when someone’s been on the website for five seconds let’s pop this up and start a conversation with them basically now I want to show this I don’t want to annoy my visitors right I’m going to show this a total of three times they will never see it more than three times all right and then I want to limit this to twice per day so they’ll see it maximum two times in one day they’ll never see it more than three times total so if they come back on a second visit they’ll see it one more time okay you could also change that to four maybe so they would see it twice on the first visit and twice on the second visit and then they would never see it ever again we’re going to assume at that point they just don’t care they’re just not going to interact with it okay so where do I want it well for right now I just want it on my homepage so I’m going to say specific pages on my site and I’m going to say this exact URL digital gravy.co okay digital gravy all right good spelled it correctly all right let’s move on to the targeting tab so I can show this to all visitors or I can target specific visitors once again we’re seeing the power of convert box so I can add a visitor rule I can say what is their number of visits like maybe I don’t want to show it until the second visit what device are they on did they come from a specific URL did they come from a specific website like this is actually a string like if you are else string contains a custom attribute or something you can do that so where are they located in the world what pages have they already visited have they already seen one of my convert boxes do they have any look at this auto responder activity do they have a tag do they not have a tag so this is going into drip to look at their details there very very powerful and I’ve already talked to Dean I’ve already seen the road map this is going to get even more powerful and robust it’s going to be absolutely fantastic all right I can also set goals here so you know did they click a certain button did they subscribe to one of the forms did they visit a specific page so that’s all up to you I’m just going to leave that off so we have this targeting I’m going to have it target all website visitors and on the display we’ve got that all set up so I’m going to hit save and I’m going to say go to dashboard and we’re going to turn this bad boy on all right so that is active now now the real test we need to go to digital gravy dot co and we need to see if this is actually going to work I’m going to go in an incognito window here digital gravy dot co and remember this is going to be coming up in five seconds okay so it should be showing up there it is welcome quick question has your business ever run Facebook ads before curious to this question right here it skipped these three questions because it knew we already had the data I instructed type form to do that and I instructed convert box if we go back to our convert box here look I told convert box we go the next step to pass the form values in the URL parameters that’s how the name the email the website got into the URL after they submitted the form so you see how I’m making these apps talk to each other because of the power of convert box because of the power of type form and drip you use good tools you can do really effective awesome stuff okay so you see that that is all worked it’s all completely functional let’s go ahead and we’ll close that and I want to see I don’t know if we can get this to show up again I mean technically whoops going to the wrong
